On Saturday, September 14, the 11th edition of the Lilo Trail took place, which is part of the (free) running series Pop-Up-Runs organizes in the nearby nature around Oslo. The race has always had the concept of being a half marathon on trails, but in 2017 the route was redesigned by Dr. Trail, Johannes Rummelhoff, into a loop that includes Lillomarka's best viewpoints (Barlindåsen), coziest cabin (Sinober), and highest point (Brennberget). LiloTrail starts and ends at Solemskogen, which is located in the heart of Lillomarka, easily accessible by public transport from Oslo.

Highlights

  • The race is a half marathon on trails, designed to highlight the beautiful landscape of Lillomarka.
  • The route includes both Barlindåsen, Sinober, and Brennberget, as well as a longer stretch through the fairy tale forest and the nature reserve over Slengfehøgda.
  • LiloTrail is part of a free running series that also includes Tåsentier’n and Brunkollen Rundt.
